Terms of Use

Effective date: July 25, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of playcarre.com (the "Site") and our iOS games — Partitions, Domidoku, Kiosque, and Partypicker (the "Apps"). By using the Site or an App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. Who we are

Carré is a trade name of 1596505 B.C. Ltd., a company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Contact: hello@playcarre.com.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Apps on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with these terms and Apple's App Store terms. Where an App is distributed through the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies.

4. Purchases & subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your App Store account:

• Prices are shown in the App before you confirm a purchase and may vary by region.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies — we cannot issue them ourselves.
• One-time purchases (for example, ad removal or hint packs) can be restored on a new device from within the App.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Apps or Site;
• reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where the law permits it despite this term;
• manipulate scores, streaks, or leaderboards, or otherwise interfere with other players' experience;
• use the Apps or Site for anything unlawful.

6. Intellectual property

The Apps, the Site, and everything in them — puzzles, designs, artwork, names, logos, and code — are owned by 1596505 B.C. Ltd. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

7. Availability & changes

We may update, change, or discontinue any App or feature at any time — including daily puzzle schedules, hints, and online features such as leaderboards. We aim to keep things running smoothly but do not guarantee that the Apps or Site will always be available or error-free.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Apps and Site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1596505 B.C. Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the Apps or Site. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of CAD $50 or the amount you paid us through the relevant App in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless the consumer-protection law of your place of residence gives you additional rights.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be noted in App release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
